By now, you've heard about Chip Kelly meeting with the San Francisco 49ers about their head coaching vacancy.

After just one season with Jim Tomsula at the helm, the 49ers fired him and are looking to make a big splash in their next hire, already meeting with Mike Shanahan.

Tim Kawakami, a longtime columnist for San Jose Mercury News, had some fun on Thursday night at Kelly's expense when reacting to the report of Kelly meeting with 49ers brass.

Eagles fans remember the "really good players" Kelly got rid of in his time with the Eagles: DeSean Jackson, Jeremy Maclin, LeSean McCoy and even the 2nd round pick (attached with Nick Foles which was traded for Sam Bradford) would all look good for Philadelphia this off season.

Now as 49ers fans will tell you, many of their "really good players" retired last off season after Jim Harbaugh left for University of Michigan.

It wasn't all jokes with Kawakami, however, as he later called Kelly a "talented guy." He also cautioned him as "partially crazy" with the possibility of clashing with general manager Trent Baalke.
