Pitcher Aaron Nola has been selected to represent the Philadelphia Phillies in the 2018 MLB All-Star Game in Washington, D.C.

The seventh overall pick in the 2014 MLB Draft, was the only Phillies player to be selected for the mid-summer classic.

Nola, who will make his first ever All-Star game, is 11-2 with a 2.41 ERA in 18 starts, striking out 116 and walking just 33 in 116 innings so far this season. The 25-year-old has been dominant this season for Philadelphia. His 11 wins is tied with Chicago’s Jon Lester for the NL-lead, and his 2.41 ERA puts him fifth in the National League.

Fans will be able to vote in the final player for each of the NL and AL rosters. A list of five players will make up ballots in each league, and voting will be open to fans until Wednesday, July 11, at 1 p.m. MST.
