Another former Rutgers basketball player has come out and defended Mike Rice and his actions in practice.

Sean Bannon who was a walk-on to the team during the 2011-2012 seasons told Mike Gill and Todd Ranck on "The Sportsbash" that the intentions of his former coach were always good.

"There was a never a time in practice where I thought Rice could get fired. The video is not indicative of what went on during practice," Bannon said.

Bannon joins Tyree Graham this week who both defended Rice and his physical abusive teaching methods incorporated during Rutgers practices.

ESPN Outside The Lines obtained video of Rice in Rutgers practices causing a media firestorm that ultimately led to Rice's departure.

Rice was hired in 2010 and coached his Scarlet Knight team to a 15-16 record going 5-13 in the Big East.

Rice was 44-51 with the Rutgers program.
