Atlantic City Arena Football Team Name to be Determined by Fans

The announcement was made official today that an Arena Football League team is coming to Atlantic City with the return of indoor football to the Boardwalk Hall. The Atlantic City CardSharks were a member of the Eastern Division of the Atlantic Conference of the National Indoor Football League during the 2004 season

The franchise will begin play in early spring.

One of the exciting plans announced by the team today was that fans will have a voice in what the team's nickname. Below is a excerpt from the official press release today.

As a way to involve the public directly with the new team, fans are able to go to www.AtlanticCityAFL.com to submit a suggestion for the new team’s name. The final name choices will be selected and subsequently made available for fan vote.  The winning name will be announced a few weeks after the voting period has ended, and the individual who submitted the winning team name will receive a special AC team prize pack.
