In the summer at the shore there are a ton of great bars and restaurants to check out.

One of the unique things to do is check out a rooftop bar that you can hang out, enjoy live music, amazing cocktails, and the best views of the beaches.

New Jersey Digest writer Ariana Lena came up with her list of the Best 18 Rooftop Bars in New Jersey to eat and drink, with two South Jersey spots cracking the list for the 2024 summer season.

Harry’s Ocean Bar and Grille, Cape May

An oceanfront rooftop sounds like music to ears, especially during the summertime. Not to mention drinks that’ll leave you cooled down and refreshed after a sweltering day. The menu here offers a huge selection of different “crush” flavors like the original orange crush, grapefruit crush, key lime crush and even a pomegranate crush. They also offer some varieties of margaritas and alcoholic lemonades plus beer and wine.

Located at 1025 Beach Avenue in Cape May, Harry's isn't on top of a high rise or a casino, but it is situated right across the street from the beach in Cape May, giving patrons amazing views of the Atlantic Ocean. They feature great live music and a menu of drinks, seafood and sandwiches perfect for a nice summer day.

The VÜE Bar & Lounge, Atlantic City

Located atop The Claridge hotel in Atlantic City, this rooftop offers one of the best (and highest) 360-degree outdoor experiences. More than 23 floors above the beach, The VÜE Bar & Lounge is the the town’s only rooftop which serves up handcrafted cocktails and a stellar happy hour.

I am a big fan of The VÜE.  I first spent a Saturday during the college football season here one time and have been back plenty of times since. Situated at the top of the Claridge, they have a great 360-degree view of the city, beaches and famous AC Boardwalk.
