In football, you can sack the quarterback and do a dance. When you score a touchdown, you can do whatever you want as long as you don't use the football as a 'prop.'

In soccer, the goal scorer can run and the slide the length of the field.

In baseball, you can't showboat unless your name is David Ortiz.

So yesterday, during the Brewers and Pirates Sunday afternoon game, Brewers center fielder Carlos Gomez did his best Big Papi impersonation.

Only it was a ball off the center field wall that resulted in a triple and not a home run.

Pirates pitcher at the time Gerrit Cole took exception and had choice words for Gomez when all hell broke loose.

Punches were thrown, players were ejected and suspensions are coming.

But will they come for Cole?

He was not ejected from the game and if he does receive a suspension, chances are it wont prevent him from making his next scheduled start.

Who is to blame?
