It wouldn't be considered a trade deadline, if Phillies ace Cliff Lee wasnt available.

Cliff Lee is available, but how steep is the asking price?

Apparently, it's $70 million and your top two or three prospects.

The Boston Red Sox are said to be involved, but are unwilling to part with top prospect Xander Bogarets, according to Nick Cafardo of Boston Globe.

Cafardo called 'The Sportsbash' today to gauge the interest of the Red Sox on both Lee and 3B Michael Young who is rumored to be available.

"The Phillies don't need to trade Cliff Lee and the Red Sox don't need to trade for Cliff Lee," Cafardo said.

Cafardo mentioned the exorbitant amount of money remaining on Lee's contract and the addition that the Red Sox will receive when Clay Bucholtz returns in late August.

Anything is possible and it only takes one phone call to change someone's mind, just dont expect it to involve $70 million and a blue chip prospect.
