It’s Week 6 of the Cape-Atlantic League season, and playoffs positioning is on the line in just about every game. Many teams are battling for conference titles and playoff positioning this week with St. Augustine in control of the American Conference, the National Conference is still up-for-grabs.

Friday night it's Countdown to Kickoff starting at 6pm with Cole Raring and Pete G, then Mike Gill and Steve Parker call all the action from Buena at Mainland at 7pm.  Cole and Pete have scores and highlights at halftime and the post-game show til 10pm.

Here are the week 6 games and picks for this week:

Friday, Oct 16

Absegami (2-2) @ St. Augustine Prep (5-0), 6pm

The Prep looks to make it seven straight wins when they host Absegami.  The Braves are struggling on offense, scoring just six points in a 22-6 loss to Millville.  They didn't score an offensive touchdown in their 10-7 win over EHT. Meanwhile, the Prep has been the top team in the CAL Fine 5, coming off at 27-3 win over Mainland.  Hermits running back Kyle Dobbins leads the CAL with 810 yards and eight touchdowns this year.

Pick: St. Augustine 42, Absegami 7

Millville (2-2) @ Ocean City (1-4), 7pm {Listen-1450 AM}

Ocean City is coming off its first win of the season, a 19-7 decision over EHT, running back Dan Henderson has four touchdowns this season.  Millville entered this week's CAL Fine 5 with a 22-6 win over Absegami.  They have been a tough test for some of the non-public schools, quarterback Wil Polhamus has 634 yards passing.

Pick: Millville 27, Ocean City 12

Bridgeton (2-3) @ Lower Cape May (1-3), 7pm

The always dangerous Bulldogs knocked off Pleasantville 42-0 last week and will look for their third win in a row when they face Lower Cape May - the Bulldogs shutout the Cape Tiger 43-0 last season.  This Caper Tigers team is coming off a 45-0 loss to Oakcrest but had their first win in nine games two weeks ago against Pleasantville.

Pick: Bridgeton 45, Lower Cape May 6

Cedar Creek (3-1) @ Oakcrest (3-1), 7pm

The winner of this game remains alive in the CAL National race, both teams have one conference loss.  Cedar Creek is coming off a bye, but is very explosive on offense with Ahmir Mitchell, Bo Melton and quarterback Jesse Milza.  The Pirates shut the Falcons out 20-0 last season, but this Oakcrest team, with running back Terrance Smith (481 yards, 8 TD), and quarterback Kendall Elliott is very dangerous.

Pick: Cedar Creek 33, Oakcrest 27

Pleasantville (0-5) @ Holy Spirit (2-3), 7pm

This is a big game for Holy Spirit for Non-Public two playoff positioning , with more teams in the field this season, they need to add up the wins.  Last year they struggled by the Greyhounds with a 28-18 win.  Now the young Spartans lean on Reggie Jean Charles and his 439 and four touchdowns.  Pleasantville will try to get Dan Samuel going, he averages 8.5 yards per carry this season.

Pick: Holy Spirit 28, Pleasantville 8

Buena (4-1) @ Mainland (2-2), 7pm {Listen-97.3 FM}

The Chiefs are one of the top running teams in the CAL with Sammy Crouch, Quadir Albright leading the attack, combing for 937 yards and 12 touchdowns.  Mainland quarterback Sam Jackson has six touchdowns, wide out Justin Bishop has 15 catches, second best in the CAL with 345 yards and five touchdowns.

No Pick - 97.3 ESPN Game of Week

Middle Township (1-3) @ Bristol PA (3-3), 7pm

Middle is looking for a non-conference win to get back on track, running back Shawn Scott has 311 yards and four touchdowns this season for the Panthers.

Pick: Bristol 28, Middle14

Saturday October 17
Atlantic City (1-3) @ St. Joseph (3-2), noon

St. Joe is coming off a tough loss in Maryland where they were shutout for the first time since 2008.  They have weapons, scoring 24.8 points per game, but just haven't been the same team this year as they have been in the recent past.  Atlantic City got it's first win of the season on the road in Vineland.  They go as quarterback Jamir Prevard goes, when he is on, they can compete with any team in the CAL.

Pick: St. Joe's 35, AC 28
