Cedar Creek is unquestionably one of the hottest baseball teams in South Jersey entering the final stretch of April action.

The Pirates picked up a seventh straight victory Wednesday afternoon, squeezing past St. Joe in an extra-inning thriller. Head coach Mike Isgro, a former Cape-Atlantic League standout player, watched his team bounce back in the 11th inning after surrendering a game-tying run in the seventh inning.

The game remain deadlocked at 2-2 until Marty Ortiz sent in the go-ahead run with a single. Cedar Creek pitcher Alex Boney closed the door in the bottom from to secure a road win. He was stellar as the game lasted into the early evening, blanking the Wildcats in four innings of relief duties.
