South Jersey has made the transition to the post-summer season with kids going back to school, local bars and restaurants having Football gameday specials, plus numerous Jersey Shore communities hosting many events and activities.  Several days after Sea Isle City hosted its Fall Family Festival, the Wildwoods will have their own busy weekend full of fun for all ages.

North Wildwood's Irish Fall Festival is back for the 32nd year with four days of entertainment and activities.  The Cape May County Ancient Order of Hibernians Golf Tournament will be hosted at Cape May National Golf Course on Thursday, September 21st starting at 8 AM.  On Thursday evening there will be an Amateur Boxing Showcase featuring No Limits Boxing Academy (located in Rio Grande) facing off with Crumlin Boxing Club from Dublin, Ireland at Wildwood Catholic Academy at 630 PM.  Starting on September 22nd there will be Vendors set up on Olde New Jersey Avenue and open for business from 8 AM to 7 PM on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. There will also be live Irish Entertainment from 12 to 8 PM on Friday and Saturday.

Along with all of those activities happening for the Irish Fall Festival, the weekend will have a 5K Run and One Mile Walk on Saturday with 8 am signup at Olde New Jersey Avenue and free Irish Dancing Lessons starting at 10 am at the Knights of Columbus Hall.  There will also be a Parade that is scheduled to start at 12:30 pm on Sunday with the parade route starting at the corner of 20th Street and Surf Avenue then proceeding to the intersection of Spruce and Olde New Jersey Avenue.  For more information about the 32nd annual Irish Fall Festival, you can visit the Cape May County AOH website here.

On the Wildwood Boardwalk the same weekend as the North Wildwood Irish Fall Festival will be the Fall Custom Rod and Muscle Car Show on Saturday, September 22nd, and Sunday, September 23rd. The vehicles will be displayed on the boardwalk stretching from 26th Avenue to Oak Avenue from 10 AM to 3 PM each day. The outdoor display is free for spectators. There will also be an indoor display from 10 AM to 8 PM inside the Wildwood Convention Center. This upcoming weekend is also the second opportunity for people can experience Morey's Piers Oktoberfest. Each weekend the festivities are from 5 PM to 11 PM on Fridays, 12 PM to 11 PM on Saturdays, and 12 PM to 5 PM on Sundays. At the Founders Restaurant guests are invited to enjoy special themed selections of Bavarian pretzels, German potato salad, schnitzel, bratwurst, and more cultural foods. Beer fans will find a wide selection of brews on tap and flights to be sampled at an outdoor “biergarten” located behind Founders with live entertainment playing every night on the stage in front of the Ferris Wheel.
