ESPN's Chris Mortensen reports the Chiefs have reached an agreement to make Andy Reid their next head coach.

The move appeared to be imminent after the Chiefs fired GM Scott Pioli earlier today.  The Chiefs are calling it a "mutual parting" after Pioli assisted owner Clark Hunt in interviewing Andy Reid.

However, the writing is on the wall that Reid will bring in his own general manager and one name has already surfaced - Former Eagles and Browns GM Tom Heckert.  He's now expected to bring in Packers director of operations John Dorsey to run scouting and the draft.

Andy Reid will likely maintain personnel control, similar to what he had in Philadelphia.  Ex-Eagles defensive coordinator Juan Castillo is expected to be hired as offensive line coach while Pat Shurmur and Brad Childress are candidates for offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach.
