Cole Throws Gem, Phils Finally Beat Braves

Cole Hamels tossed a 5-hit, complete game shutout and the Phillies finally beat the Braves after losing 7 straight against their division rival.

It was Cole's first complete game of the season, his first complete game since 2011 and first shutout since 2009.

Ryan Howard helped the Phillies grab a 3-0 lead with 2-run homer in the first and Cole did the rest, giving up just 5 hits.

The Phillies pick up their 50th win of the season to go along with 60 losses. The Braves move to 63 - 47.
