Could The Eagles Win The NFC East In 2016?

With Cowboys Quarterback Tony Romo out for 6-10 weeks with a back injury the team in Dallas opens the door for the Eagles, Giants and Redskins to take advantage in the earlier part of the season in the pursuit of the division title.  At the beginning of training camp Cowboys were listed in the Las Vegas Sports Books as the favorites to win the division.

Press of Atlantic City Eagles Beat Reporter Dave Weinberg joined Josh Hennig on Wednesday and explained why the NFC East is now more of a wide open race:

"I think it's wide open now, I was expecting the Cowboys to win the division, now I don't see how that happens.  It's proved last year when Romo went out they're just a completely different team, not nearly as good....The one caveat I would put on it is the Cowboys' running game is as good as it gets with Ezekiel Elliott there I think that's a big weapon to have and if they can ride their running game I think they'll be okay but I still don't think they're gonna be nearly as good as they would if Romo was in there.  So I think it opens up the division for the Eagles, Redskins and Giants.  I would even maybe put the Eagles second or even first, I think you can literally flip a coin with the three teams for the NFC East race."
