BLOOMINGTON, Minn. (973espn.com) - Eagles cornerback Ronald Darby missed the team's media availability Thursday morning with an illness, according to a team spokesman.

Missing Super Bowl media sessions carries with it a $20,000 fine so Darby will almost certainly be added to the injury report later today, joining defensive tackle Tim Jernigan as Eagles players down with illness in what has been a troublesome flu season all across the country.

Jernigan was also missing from the media availability at the Mall of America.

It's very unlikely that either player will miss Sunday's Super Bowl but is at least the potential that both players could be far less than 100 percent when things kick off.

Eagles coach Doug Pederson was also hampered by an illness earlier in the week, something that began last Friday and seemed to be hampering him through Tuesday's media session. By Wednesday, the coach's 50th birthday, he seemed to be bouncing back and Pederson seemed to be at full strength Thursday morning.

Linebacker Mychal Kendricks and running back/kick returner Kenjon Barner have also been dealing with the bug over the past week.
