Eagles ILB DeMeco Ryans left Sunday's Week 9 game at Houston in the fourth quarter with what is believed to be an achilles injury.

"I just saw the replay on that," Kelly stated.  "But it didn't look good."

If the injury is in fact an Achilles injury that would most likely end his season.

The injury occurred when Ryans picked off a Ryan Fitzpatrick pass and started to run, he went down untouched and appeared to be in pain, losing the ball in the process.

Losing Ryans would be a huge loss for the Eagles, Ryans is the leader of the defense and about as solid as they come.  He is a leader and obviously the drop-off to either Casey Matthews or Emmanuel Acho would be significant.

"He is the true leader on the defensive side of the ball," Kelly explained.  "You all know what DeMeco means to this team."

The Eagles saw the drop-off first hand when Mychal Kendricks missed some time with his calf injury, luckily he is back in the line-up but missing Ryans leadership on the defensive side, late in games will be something the Eagles will have to overcome.
