Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver told Lisa Salters of ESPN that he didn't give it his all last year, trying to protect himself from getting hurt.

A year ago during training camp at Lehigh University, the talk was surrounding Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver DeSean Jackson and his contract extension. He held out the first eleven days of training camp.

On March 14th Jackson signed a five-year, $51 million extension with $15 million guaranteed.

"I let it get to me, even though I tried to not let it. I was trying to protect myself from getting hurt. Now I'm just giving it my all," Jackson told Salters.

The Eagles suspended Jackson in a meaningful Week 10 game against the Arizona Cardinals and benched him two weeks later in a 38-20 loss at home against the New England Patriots.

Jackson is a two-time Pro Bowl selection and has 4,096 receiving yards with 21 TD's in four NFL seasons.
