The Indianapolis Colts tried a bizarre fake trick punt attempt in the 3rd quarter in their game against the New England Patriots on Sunday night.

It was 4th and 3 from their own 37 yard line.

The Colts sent out the punting unit and the formation quickly changed to a hodgepodge of Colts in a bunch on one end of the field. The middle of the field was left with two players trying to defend about four or five Patriot defenders.

Former Philadelphia Eagles special teamer Colt Anderson took the snap and was promptly tackled.

Sunday Night Football broadcaster Al Michaels referred to it as "unexplainable and inexplicable."

Throw this one away.

The Patriots then, promptly, scored a touchdown to put the game out of reach.
