Eagles wide receiver Arrelious Benn tore his ACL during a scrimmage with the Patriots at training camp today, the team announced.

The injury will presumably end his season.

Benn marks the third Eagles player to tear an ACL during training camp joining fellow receiver Jeremy Maclin and linebacker Jason Phillips.

Benn was acquired from Tampa during the off season but has struggled to remain healthy since being drafted in the second round in 2010.

The season ending injuries to both Benn and Maclin reassures Riley Cooper of making the team out of training camp who left the team for four days after seeking sensitivity training for a racial slur.

The team also announced that WR David Ball has been waived.
