The agreed-upon trade between the Eagles and Dolphins that would send Byron Maxwell and Kiko Alonso to Miami could be in danger of falling a part, according to multiple reports.

According to ESPN's NFL reporter Ed Werder, the trade would have seen the teams swapping first-round picks, with the Eagles moving up from No. 13 to No. 8.

Werder adds in his tweet, that the deal can be considered “dead” for the time being.

During his daily appearance on the Sports Bash on Monday, 973espn.com Eagles insider John McMullen mentioned that passing physicals could be something that derails the deal - now it looks like that could be the case.

The injury in question isn't Kiko Alonso knees, as some might have thought, but a source tells both Chris Mortensen and Werder of ESPN.com that the trade may be off due to concerns from the Dolphins’ side about Maxwell’s shoulder, which he injured at the end of last season in the Arizona game.
