(973espn.com) - The Eagles have had some pretty good luck with one Carson and now they are bringing in another to join their coaching staff, former CFL offensive coordinator Carson Walch.

Philadelphia went north of the border to pluck Walch from the Edmonton Eskimos to help with the wide receiver position after Mike Groh was elevated to offensive coordinator last month.

Walch was in Edmonton for two seasons, starting as the passing game coordinator and WR coach in 2016 before being elevated to running the offense last season.

Walch's only prior NFL experience came in Chicago in 2013-14 under Marc Trestman with the Bears as both an offensive quality control and assistant WR coach where he helped mentor Eagles WR1 Alshon Jeffery. Groh was the WR coach in Chicago at the time.

Trestman brought Walch with him to the Windy City from Montreal in the CFL.
