The Eagles have had a busy off season.

Following Monday's announcement of Mike Vick's restructured contract, the team announced that Tom Gamble has been hired as Vice President of Player Personnel.

Gamble spent the last 8 seasons in San Francisco, the last two seasons serving as the teams Director of Player Personnel.

Gamble will report directly to general manager Howie Roseman and will scout in both professional and college departments.

In a team statement Roseman said: "Since Ryan Grigson left to become the General Manager of the Colts, we’ve been looking for the right person to fill his spot and we are excited about what Tom can bring to the team. He’s not only a talented evaluator, but also a good man and the type of person you want as a part of your team. Tom and I have had a great relationship over the years."

Ryan Grigson left Philadelphia last season to become the Colts general manager.

Gamble, 49, is a Haddonfield, NJ native, his father Harry served as the Eagles president in the 90's when Buddy Ryan was head coach.
