Eagles inside linebacker Mychal Kendricks is out for Sunday's Week three NFC clash against the Redskins while wide receiver/kick returner Josh Huff is doubtful.

Kendricks sat out all week with an calf injury, huff hasn't practiced since injuring his shoulder back in training camp. Offensive lineman Matt Tobin and strong safety Earl Wolff are both questionable - Tobin was a full participant at practice this week.

The injury report indicates that Kendricks has a calf injury – just don't ask coach Chip Kelly how it happened.

"I don't know," Kelly explained.  "I don't ask.  Can we get this out of the way?  I'm never going to ask.  I don't care.  Just tell me if they can play or can't play.  That's all I ever ask.  I'm not a doctor.  So it's a grade 32.  I don't know what that means.  You don't know what that means.  So I don't care.  I never ask those questions.  There's no reason for me to ask those questions.  Just tell me if he can play or can't play and that's the same conversation I have with [head athletic trainer] Chris Peduzzi and [head team physician] Dr. [Peter] DeLuca all the time. Is he up or is he down?."

Losing Kendricks is a huge blow for the Eagles, while he might not be their best overall player, he is a very athletic and dynamic player - but maybe most glaring is the drop off from Kendricks to his backups (Casey Matthews and Emmanuel Acho).

The guess is the two will rotate with Acho getting more of the playing time.

As for Tobin, while he will not start, he is available if Andrew Gardner has any issues with Redskins linebacker Ryan Kerrigan.  Gardner appeared to be pushed around a bit in the first half of last weeks game against Indianapolis but seemed to settle in, in the second half.
