PHILADELPHIA (973espn.com) – Another remnant from the Chip Kelly years is gone from South Philadelphia as Eagles director of personnel operations Joe Pannunzio has returned to the University of Alabama.

Prior to joining the Eagles, Pannunzio was the director of football operations at Alabama and he joined the organization in 2015 when former personnel chief Ed Marynowitz was running the department for Kelly.

Once Kelly was fired and Howie Roseman was reinserted as football operations chief, Marynowitz also returned to the Crimson Tide.

Pannunzio, a former head coach at the college level with Murray State, is moving back to on-field work, according to AL.com and will be mentoring tight ends as well as the special teams for Nick Saban.
