Mychal Kendricks just got richer.

The Eagles have announced that they have signed ILB Mychal Kendricks to a contract extension through 2019.

The deal is worth $29 million including $16.4 million guaranteed, according to Adam Caplan.

Jay Glazer, FOX Sports, first reported the news.

The extension is a bit surprising because earlier this offseason Kendricks told reporters that the Eagles have not even discussed an extension with him. The Eagles also have Kiko Alonso and DeMeco Ryans at starting inside linebacker. Still, health is a major concern for the two aforementioned linebackers, Kendricks has remained fairly healthy the past two seasons.
