Mike Vick and Politics

Mike and Todd opened up today's show talking about a report from Ed Werder saying that Mike Vick feels that he is a "victim of politics" and it may not be his concussion that is keeping him from rejoining the team. According to Mike and Todd, it's just another day in the office for Andy Reid this season.

Ed Werder

Ed Werder has a report out that Mike Vick believes that "politics" are playing apart in the Eagles decision to start Nick Foles rather than his concussion. Vick has failed his ImPACT tests and still is not cleared to rejoin the team. Ed Werder joined "The Sportsbash" and suggested that there is an "ulterior motive" in play here.

Keith Law

Keith Law, former baseball executive and now with ESPN called in to talk about the Phillies off season plans, or lack thereof. Law said Michael Bourn is a better option than Hamilton and thats who they should pursue. He also thinks a platoon at 3B between Fredy Galvis and Kevin Frandsen is NOT recommended.

Injury Report

Our Injury Expert Joe DeRosa called in to give us the latest on the injuries suffered by the Philadelphia Eagles, including Mike Vick and his concussion.

Dave Weinberg

Eagles beat writer with The Press of Atlantic City called in to preview the game at his weekly time at 4:05. Weinberg said that he thinks that Reid isnt losing the front office or players in his final games as head coach. We also talk with Weinberg about LeSean McCoy and Bryce Brown.

Calvin Watkins

Our "Outside View" came from Calvin Watkins, ESPN Dallas. Watkins said that although he isn't a Tony Romo believer, he's the best guy that they have. He related things to the Eagles in that when they would get rid of their QB, they always had a replacement ready to take over. A loss to the Eagles on Sunday night would prove to be detrimental to Jason Garrett's job security.
