This past week, the Philadelphia 76ers posted a 3-0 record against the Suns, Clippers and Mavericks. It was a dominant week for Sixers big man Joel Embiid and his performance earned him Eastern Conference Player of the Week honors for the first time this season.

Over the three games played last week, Embiid posted averages of 31.7 points, 16.3 rebounds, 3.3 assists, 2.0 blocks and 1.7 steals. He shot 47.5 percent from the floor and 50 percent (4-for-8) from beyond the arc. The recent three-game stretch for the native of Cameroon extended his 20-point, 10-rebound streak to seven straight games.

The Sixers' first game of the week came against the Clippers. Embiid helped the team get off to a hot start, scoring 15 of their 41 first quarter points en route to a 28-point, 19-rebound performance in the victory.

Next up was Phoenix, a 132-127 game that was closer than it should have been. Jojo had one of the best nights of his career, tallying 42 points to go along with 18 rebounds, three steals and two blocks. He went 17-for-19 from the line and shot 12-for-23 from the floor.

To finish off the week, the Sixers defeated the Mavericks 106-100. Embiid has 25 points and 12 rebounds, hitting 10 of his 11 free throws while also adding five assists to his stat line.

Overall this season in 38 games, Embiid is averaging 26.9 points, 13.5 rebounds and 1.9 blocks per game.
