Northfield Veterans Memorial Ceremony

There will be a memorial ceremony on November 11th at 11 a.m. at Veterans Park on Oak Avenue. All veterans, guests and the general public are encouraged to attend.

Atlantic County Executive Dennis Levinson and the Atlantic County Veterans Advisory Board will recognize 26 U.S. military veterans who are residents of Meadowview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, 235 Dolphin Ave., in a Veterans Day program at 2 p.m. Honorees represent the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines and Women’s Air Corps and include World War II veterans, a D-Day gunner’s mate, a Pentagon attorney and a combat photographer. The ceremony will include the presentation of certificates, color guard, patriotic songs and readings, and light refreshments.
