When the Sixers and Flyers are playing well this time of year it’s exciting for Philadelphia Sports fans.  Add College Basketball into the mix heading into March and sports fans have a lot more to talk about with the NFL season being over.  When 2021 MLB Spring Training starts and Phillies Baseball returns to the field, many Philly sports fans can’t contain themselves.

The Phillies open up their Grapefruit League play on Sunday at 1:05pm against the Detroit Tigers.  The Phillies new President of Baseball Operations Dave Dombrowski has committed himself to putting together a nucleus of players that can win now!  I can’t wait for baseball to be back especially a team whose ambition is to be winners!!

The Sixers defeated the Dallas Mavericks on Thursday night to improve their overall record to 22-11.  The Sixers are a team with a couple of All Stars but do they have enough talent to win the NBA Championship this year?  The rumor mill is abuzz with talk of the team acquiring one more player that will put them closer to their ultimate goal of winning the NBA championship.

After 16 games so far in the 2021 NHL season, the Flyers are in Fourth place in the East Division with a 9-4-3 record and 21 Points.  With COVID-19 wreaking havoc on the Flyers and on the NHL schedule, the Flyers are fighting through it to find the right combinations on offense and defense.  In their win on Wednesday night marked the return of Captain Claude Giroux who help ignite the Flyers' offense with his Three Assists in their win over the New York Rangers on Wednesday Night.

This Saturday in The Locker Room with Billy Schweim, Scott McKay and I will discuss the week's hot topics in sports.  Will the Sixers make a move to improve their lineup? Former Villanova guard and Raptors star Kyle Lowery would look great in a Sixers uniform. The Flyers take on Buffalo on Saturday at 1pm and we will preview the game. Our Special guest on Saturday is a Six time Stanley Cup Champion, a Hockey Hall of Fame Legend Mark Messier.  Mark is teaming up with NXT Water, the makers of Akeso CBD water, as Mark is promoting their new product.

On Sunday in The Locker Room with Billy Schweim, it will be the last show working with Hunter Brody as he is moving on with a new endeavor!  We wish Brodes well but will get one more spirited show talking Phillies Baseball.  Our guest will be former Phillies relief pitcher Scott Eyre.  Scott will tell us about his experiences as a big league pitcher and winning a World Series.  We will also preview the upcoming games for the Sixers and Flyers.

Don't miss all the action starting every Saturday and Sunday from 10am to Noon on 973 ESPN FM.
