It was father vs son at the Shoot Down Cancer Classic on Saturday night.

Rodio vs Rodio.

The 39-year veteran coach vs the rookie head coach.

Paul Rodio Sr. is South Jersey's all-time victory leader with over 800 career wins.

Paul Rodio Jr. is in his first season at St. Joe's and had nine career victories.

On Saturday night in the final game of the Shoot Down Cancer Classic father got the best of son as the Prep cruised to an easy 62-48 win.  Austin Kennedy led the Hermits with 13 points and Nate Aldrich had 10 points and eight rebounds for the Prep who improved to 18-1 with the win.

B.J. Mitchell led the Wildcats with 14 points, who dropped to 9-7 on the season.

St. Augustine opened up a 17-4 first quarter advantage and never looked back, they lead by as many as 32 points in the game and held St. Joe's to just 33-percent shooting on the night.

Both teams figure to make the upcoming Cape-Atlantic League playoffs which begin on February 23, St. Augustine leads the National Conference, while St. Joe's is currently second in the United Conference.
