Almost a month to the day after Mike Brown, who was with Toronto at the time before being traded to Edmonton, broke his orbital bone in a fight, rookie Tye McGinn is back with the Flyers with two battle wounds on his face.

“I feel great,” said McGinn, with a scar under his left eye from surgery and one above his right eye from a cut before the Feb. 25 fight. “No issues so far. I’m happy to be back.”

As a welcome back present of sorts, coach Peter Laviolette put McGinn on the Flyers’ top line with Claude Giroux and Jakub Voracek.

“We kind of joke around in the coaches room that Tye hasn’t had a bad day in the NHL,” Laviolette said. “His practices are sharp. His games are terrific. He’s done a lot of things right since being here.”
