Many expected Flyers GM Ron Hextall to have a decision made by now one way or another about the fate of Craig Berube. At his post-season press conference today, Hextall was asked every which way about his evaluation of the head coach and still had no answers.

Hextall joined Mike Gill on 97.3 ESPN FM shortly after and gave a similar non-endorsement.

"I don't want to make any knee-jerk decisions on that. I don't operate that way," Hextall said.

Berube just has one season remaining on his contracts and is also a former teammate of Ron Hextall which could be impacted a difficult decision ahead for the second year GM.

Hextall also talked with Mike Gill about some of the young pieces on this roster and which players moving forward make up the core of this team.

Giroux, Voracek make up the core. Simmonds and Michael Raffl as well, " Hextall detailed.

His press conference today featured multiple questions regarding the status of Vinny Lecavalier and how that relationship with Berube was severed this season. Hextall did acknowledge that it "hasnt worked" with Lecavalier, but also said a buyout wasnt likely.

Still, Berube hangs in limbo and his fate has not been sealed one way or another, yet.
