SUNRISE, Fla. — The way the Flyers see it, they’re not just trying to giddy up for the final 15 games.

That would only be the beginning.

If they make the postseason it will be because they battled through 10 of their final 15 games being part of back-to-back scenarios like the one they just finished, taking three of a possible four points in two games in Florida.

“We’ve got to find ways to do it. In the playoffs you do get a couple back-to-backs,” captain Claude Giroux said. “We’ve got to find a way to get it done. (Saturday) was a team effort. We had our chances. Some lines stepped up and we were able to get a point.”

After a draining victory Saturday night, a lot of Sunday night’s game felt uphill to the Flyers, or at least Sam Gagner, who had a pair of assists in the shootout loss. They’ll need to get used to that with five of the Flyers’ 16 back-to-back scenarios still ahead of them.
