The Flyers have traded Braydon Coburn to the Tampa Bay Lightning for defenseman Radko Gudas, along with a first-and-third-round picks in 2015.  Gudas has been out with a knee injury and hasn't played since Dec. 29 after undergoing arthroscopic knee surgery.

Once he is ready to play he'll be in the lineup for Philadelphia.

In 39 games this season, Coburn has one goal, nine points, 56 hits and 56 blocks.  He struggled with injuries and inconsistent play.  Gudas has five points, 115 hits, 63 blocks and 34 penalty minutes in 31 contests this season.

It what is considered one of the deepest draft in years, Flyers GM Ron Hextall has done a wonderful job putting his team in position to get better, while still allowing them to hang around the playoff picture.

In dealing Kimmo Timonen and Coburn, he gives up two players who haven't contributed much this season and in return he gets picks in each of the first three rounds plus Gudas.
