The Philadelphia Flyers will host a three-day training camp and Fan Fest at the Wells Fargo Complex on Thursday, Sept. 12 through Saturday, Sept. 14, 2013.

Doors will open at 8 a.m. daily. The Flyers will practice on ice each day at the Wells Fargo Center from 8:30 a.m. until 3 p.m., while a variety of fan activities will take place throughout the day at XFINITY Live! Philadelphia, adjacent to the Wells Fargo Center daily. Virtua is a participating partner of Flyers Training Camp.

The 2013 season marks the first year training camp will be held at the Wells Fargo Center. The three practice days are free and open to the public. Tickets are not required and parking is free. Training camp will offer Flyers fans their first opportunities at seeing Vinny Lecavalier, Mark Streit and Ray Emery on the ice with the team in Flyers colors.

Fan Fest at XFINITY Live! will open at 8 a.m. each day and include trophies on display from the Hockey Hall of Fame, a collectible tradeshow featuring over a dozen vendors, a pro hockey jersey display from the MeiGray Group, the Flyers official game-worn jersey source, Flyers alumni autograph sessions, hockey-themed games, “Hooked on Hockey” sessions and competitions for kids and much more. Fan Fest will be hosted in the paved area closest to XFINITY Live! on the 11th Street side of the building. Admission is free.

Fans can shop for the latest Flyers styles at Fan Zone Powered by Reebok at the Wells Fargo Center as well as at an extended setup at Fan Fest at XFINITY Live! Items include new player jerseys, exclusive Flyers Training Camp merchandise and more. At all practices, the Wells Fargo Center will offer all fans $1 soft pretzels.

Fans are invited to attend and participate in the live taping of Comcast SportsNet’s “Meet the Flyers” on Friday, September 13 at 2 p.m. Fans are invited to attend this event at XFINITY Live!  featuring an in-depth look at the team, including interviews and a question-and-answer session with the 2013-14 Philadelphia Flyers players, coaching staff and executives. Access to the “Meet the Flyers” event is on a first-come, first-serve basis.

In conjunction with the Flyers Charities Halloween 5K & 1-Mile Walk (Sat., Oct. 26), Flyers Charities will hold a sneaker drive during Flyers Training Camp at the Wells Fargo Center.  Stop by the 11th Street Atrium on Thursday, Friday or Saturday to donate your used sneakers and give them a second life with someone who may be unable to purchase their own pair.  Sneakers will be collected by Clothes Pin and donated to Lutheran Settlement House, a community-based organization committed to serving vulnerable children, adults, and families dealing with homelessness and domestic violence in Philadelphia.  Visit FlyersCharities.org/5K for more information.
