BETHLEHEM, Pa. -- Michael Vick has been extremely hesitant to concede that he needs to slide more often to protect himself while scrambling, but when the President of the United States chimes in, you have to listen.

Nnamdi Asomugha met President Obama at a fundraiser  on Monday, and Obama told him to tell Vick to slide.

“I was stunned, I didn’t believe it," Vick said today. "Just one of those things where you hear it, it’s hard to believe, but at the same time when it all soaks in, you think to yourself, ‘Yeah man, he got a point.’"

"So if he’s saying it then I’ve got to do it so first run of the year I’ll slide and he’ll know that was for him.”

Vick also noted that literally everyone in his life seems to be telling him to slide.

"I get it from my teammates, I get it from my mom, I get it from my friends, I get it from Andy, I get it from... the President,” Vick said.

Vick has played a full 16 game schedule just once in his nine years in the NFL.  The 32-year-old said it would be awesome to meet the President, and a dream come true if it occurred after a Super Bowl victory.
