St. Augustine Prep and Penn State alum Austin Johnson is heading to Nashville after being selected by the Titans with the No. 43 overall pick in the 2016 NFL draft.

The 6-4, 315-pounder made 28 starts in three seasons with the Nittany Lions, racking up 8.5 career sacks and earning first-team All-Big Ten honors in 2015.

"In a lot of years he might have been a first-round pick," said Scott Wright, the President of the NFL Draft website, draftcountdown.com. "He's just a victim of this incredibly deep class of defensive tackles."

"Normally I think Austin Johnson would probably be a slam-dunk late first-round pick," Wright said. "He created a lot of opportunities for his teammates."
