Giants wide receiver Hakeem Nicks "definitely anticipates" to play Sunday night against the Eagles despite sitting out practice Monday; he will do so again on Wednesday and Friday..

Nicks says he'll only practice once per week until the foot rounds into shape.

Nicks injured his foot in the off-season and missed New York's Week two game, a Thursday night win over Carolina. He is scheduled to resume practicing on Thursday after riding a bike during Monday's light walkthrough.  It sounds like he'll sit out Wednesday's session as well. But the key here is that he has not sustained a setback and will have had a full two weeks off before Sunday night's showdown against the Eagles.

"I had to look at the situation and I knew we had another big game coming up with Philly," Nicks said about not playing last week. "I just took it in stride, pulled up the positive aspect about it. I’ll be ready to go for Philly."

In two games this season, Nicks has 14 catches for 237 yards and one touchdown.
