Former heavyweight champion of the world Mike Tyson turns 48 years old today.

Tyson is no stranger to the spotlight, sporting a lengthy resume of boxing fights, jail stints, documentaries and movies.

Tyson is also no stranger to Atlantic City, NJ.

Tyson has spent countless days in Atlantic City from fighting Michael Spinks to stopping by on his Undisputed Truth Broadway tour.

In honor of Tyson's birthday, I wanted to post an interview Mike Gill had the chance to do with Tyson while he was in town this past January.

Listen carefully in the beginning of the interview when Tyson mentions his fighting days in Atlantic City, when the likes of Frank Sinatra could be seen strolling down the boardwalk.

Tyson also revisits that Spinks fight that took place at Convention Hall. It was fight that saw Tyson knock out Spinks in 91 seconds in front of a record crowd of 21,785.

Tyson referred to Atlantic City as "the mecca" of boxing, it's something that doesn't exist anymore as Las Vegas primarily hosts any major title fight.

Junes 27th marked the 26 year anniversary of that fight and should still give goosebumps to anyone who witnessed it.
