More Kansas City Royals were added to the All-Star game.
Two more pitchers, in fact, will be representing one of the best teams in baseball and the American League next week in Cincinnati.
Also, a theme for this year's All-Star game is the amount of young players that will be involved in the game -- 35 players that are the age of 27 or younger will be participating. That list includes rookies Kris Bryant and Joc Pederson for the National League.
The Phillies have their lone All-Star in Johnathan Papelbon. The high priced closer is perfect in 14 save opportunities this season, with a 1.65 ERA.
Former Phillies starting pitcher AJ Burnett was elected to his first All-Star game, pitching for the Pirates in his final season, Burnett has a 7-3 record with an impressive 2.05 ERA.
After the fans did their part in electing the starters, the pitchers and reserves were elected by what's known as the Player's Ballot. It's a ballot composed of players, managers and coaches throughout the majors.
