South Jersey native Ahmir Mitchell was welcomed to Ann Arbor, MI in style this week.

Mitchell, a two-may play maker at Cedar Creek High School in Egg Harbor City committed to Michigan last year after narrowing down his decision between the Wolverines or Ohio State University.

The 2016 recruiting class for the Wolverines ranks fourth in the nation behind only Alabama, Florida State and Ohio State. Harbaugh was able to sign top recruit and DT Rashan Gary to a letter of intent, as well.

Former New York Yankees shortstop and Michigan fan Derek Jeter was along side Michigan alumnus Tom Brady welcoming in 2016 recruits on campus on National Letter of Intent Day.

Although not an alumnus, Jeter has a strong bond to Michigan and attended high school in near by Kalamazoo.

Brady attended University of Michigan from 1996-1999 before he was drafted 199th overall in the 2000 NFL Draft.

Baltimore Ravens head coach John Harbaugh was also alongside his brother for the festivities on Wednesday.
