Congratulations to Ventnor native and former Holy Spirit catcher Rob Boselli on being taken on Day 3 of the MLB Draft!

Boselli was taken in the 37th round by the Cincinnati Reds.

It's somewhat of a special moment for me, as I coached Robert for three seasons in Ventnor during his 13-15 year-old seasons.

Boselli is a Holy Spirit grad who just finished his Senior season for the Red Storm, hitting .285 with four home runs and 39 RBI.

He was a four-year letterwinner for the Spartans, before heading to Mercer County Community College where he was a First Team All-Region 19 and First Team Garden State Athletic Conference selection in both his freshman and sophomore years, leading Mercer to a JUCO World Series appearance as a sophomore.
