The Spartans knocked off Newark Academy 9-4 with sophomore Billy Kral getting the win on the mound, senior Anthony Boselli has a big game with a two-run triple and an RBI single.

With the win, Holy Spirit ends the year at 14-16 and is the state Non-Public B champion - baseball does not play a tournament of champions like basketball.

While Holy Spirit's sophomore class is talented, with Kral, Bobby Spicer and Jules Massela all laying key roles on the mound, their seniors also played a huge role, with Boselli, AJ Russo, Chris Lefferts and Tommy Burns all playing key roles.

This was Spirits is playing first state final appearance since 1984 and they made it count.
