How will losing Jason Peters hurt the Eagles?

We caught up with Eagles starting left guard Evan Mathis to get his thoughts on the loss of Peters and how it could effect the offensive line.  Plus, we talked to Mathis about how close he was to leaving the Eagles and joining the Ravens.

The Eagles re-signed Mathis to a five-year, $25 million contract last week.  He signed as a backup last summer, but ended up thriving here in Philadelphia under coach Howard Mudd in his system.

Mathis gained leverage in his contract talks by graded out as the league's top guard by Pro Football Focus.
