How Much Production Could Eagles Offense Get From Tight End?

One of the major changes on offense in Philadelphia in 2016 is Head Coach Doug Pederson brings a system that places an emphasis on production from the Tight End position.  In Kansas City over the last two seasons Travis Kelce has averaged 868 Receiving Yards, 69 Catches, and 5 Touchdowns per season.  Meanwhile the Eagles have Zach Ertz, a player who many consider to have a higher talent ceiling than Kelce and there are high expectations for Ertz to have a breakout season in 2016.

ESPN NFL Insider KC Joyner on The Sports Bash on Thursday discussed the value of the Tight End position in the Eagles 2016 Offense:

"(At) Tight End (Eagles) got more proven people at that position.  Zach Ertz had some really good numbers last year and I think he's got the upside to have even better numbers.  I think you're going to see a more consistent impact from Tight End on this offense and what you're looking out of the (Wide) Receivers, really what you want is one of those guys, maybe even more than one, but at least one of those guys to develop as a vertical threat on the outside.  But at Tight End you're looking for really good, consistent production because that is what Pederson uses his Tight End for and I think they could get even better production out of this offense than what Pederson got with Travis Kelce in Kansas City if things go well."
