With the Sixers waiving Trevor Booker to make room on the roster with the expectation of signing Ersan Ilyasova, the bench is taking shape as the team loads up for the stretch run of the season and get ready for the Playoffs.  Ilyasova appeared in 46 games for the Atlanta Hawks this season, shooting 35.9 Percent from Three-Point Range; in 20 career postseason games, Ilyasavoa averaged 8.3 Points and 5.9 Rebounds in 22 Minutes Per Game.

SiriusXM NBA Radio Host and Sporting News NBA Columnist Mitch Lawrence joined Mike Gill on Wednesday discussing the Sixers anticipated addition of Ilyasova for the run to the playoffs:

“They’re on pace to win 45 games, which would be a 17 win improvement which is tremendous, that should help Brett Brown - (Ersan Ilyasova is) not a difference maker but a veteran guy who’s been around, yeah I think it definitely helps (along) with (Marco) Bellineli.  I still wish they would’ve gotten Tyreke Evans, I still wonder about who can get to the basket for them, I know Ben Simmons can but he doesn’t have the kind of scoring game that a Tyreke Evans does.  But even still, now you’ve added another veteran player, I like the move for Philadelphia.”
