The Sixers are interviewing replacement candidates for president of basketball operations Rod Thorn, sources tell the Philadelphia Inquirer.

Former Cleveland GM and current San Antonio executive Danny Ferry has been labeled as the "frontrunner" for the 76ers' GM position, and he reportedly interviewed with team ownership and management this weekend.

Sixers coach Doug Collins is  "pushing Ferry's candidacy," and momentum seems to be building rapidly meaning Thorn's time could end sooner then later.  Thorn recently denied rumors that he was considering stepping aside, but it appears the Sixers are already preparing to replace him.

Some potential names being mentioned for the Sixers include Danny Ferry (Spurs), Dennis Lindsey (Spurs), Jeff Bower, Troy Weaver (Thunder), Rick Sund (Hawks) and John Hammond (Bucks).

Sixers beat writer Bob Cooney from the Philadelphia Daily News joined Mike and Todd on the Sports Bash to give his thoughts on the 76ers front office situation and tells us if there is a power struggle between Collins and Thorn.
