Joel Embiid has ‘Very Minor’ Meniscus Tear
As the trade winds begin to blow around Jahlil Okafor, news came out regarding the health of Joel Embiid’s left knee.
According to Derek Bodner, Joel Embiid has a torn meniscus in his left knee. Accrding to Sixers general manager Bryan Colangelo, the injury is “very minor” and he is not expected to require surgery as a result of it.

Earlier on Saturday, after the Sixers shootaround, Embiid addressed his injury after being spotted dancing on stage at the Meek Mill concert on Friday night.

Embiid has missed 11 out of the team’s last 12 games, including last night’s win over the Heat. It’s likely that he remains sidelined through the All-Star break, and will not appear in the Rising Stars game or the skills challenge.
