At today's Press Conference, Sixers General Manager Bryan Colangelo spoke about how there is "a lot to be excited about" and he pointed out Joel Embiid, who attended the presser, as one of the players the team is anticipating seeing play this coming season.  Colangelo also named Dario Saric as a player the team is looking forward to seeing on the court.

But Bob Cooney of the Philadelphia Daily News told Mike Gill on Friday that Joel Embiid and Dario Saric are the unknowns of the upcoming Sixers season:

"Who is Joel Embiid? He is a guy that started playing basketball when he was 16 years old, played one year in college which was limited due to injury. Hasn't played basketball when he steps on the court in September in 2 and a half years. He will be playing on a body that has grown 4 inches and has gained 40 pounds. That is a complete unknown. As much as you are intrigued by Embiid, you have no idea what he is. You have no idea what Dario Saric is coming over to the NBA, I don't know how his game will translate.....there are still huge unknowns here and guys who will take a while to learn the NBA."

Hear what impresses Cooney about Ben Simmons, the progress of Sixers new practice facility, along with if this draft is the fruition of the vision of Sam Hinkie
