Congratulations to Ocean City's Jordan Allegretto for taking home the first 97.3 ESPN High School Athlete of the Week honors for the 2014 fall sports season.

More than 25,000 votes were cast in less than three days, and Jordan managed to narrowly beat out Vineland's freshman phenom Tess Fisher.

Jordan is an emerging star on already power-packed Red Raiders team looking for its third straight state title this season.

The junior forward opened up the 2014 campaign with 11 goals, second on the team to Rutgers commit Kelly Hanna. Her 23 total points puts her 13th on the state-wide scoring leaders list.

Be sure to check back in with us later this week for our next round of Athlete of the Week candidates and remember to listen every Saturday to the South Jersey Sports Report to find out who won.
