When the Philadelphia 76ers acquired Jimmy Butler back in November, they also added a young player to the roster in Justin Patton. Drafted 16th overall in the 2016 draft, Patton suffered a Jones fracture in his foot the summer after getting the call to the NBA. In April, he had a second surgery to "encourage further healing".

Patton played one game for Minnesota and 38 for their G League team before his April surgery. The 21-year-old big man averaged 12.7 points and 5.7 rebounds in G League action.

After a long road of recovery, Patton is inching closer to returning to an NBA court. First, he'll suit up in the G League. Per Keith Pompey of the Philadelphia Inquirer, Patton will play for the Blue Coats during their 12:00 p.m. game on Tuesday.
